Where is God?

A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.

They boys’ mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, “Where is God?”

They boy’s mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, “Where is God!!?”

Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy’s face and bellowed, “WHERE IS GOD!?”

The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, “What happened?”

The youngest brother gasped for breath and replied, “We are in BIG trouble this time dude. God is missing and they think WE did it!”

FIREPROOF Opens THIS Friday!

On Friday, September 26th, 2008 FIREPROOF will open in more than 800 theaters nationwide! This new movie from the creators of Facing the Giants is an action-packed love story about a firefighter, his wife ... and a marriage worth rescuing!

While this faith-based film is flying under the Hollywood radar screen, real people in real communities across the country are rallying behind it. In fact, it will open in 95 more cities than originally planned thanks to local people for buying 1,000 tickets to help bring it there!

I don't know when I've been more excited about the opening of a movie! I hope you will see FIREPROOF on its opening weekend. Hollywood judges a movie based on how it does in its first three days, so it's important to go September 26th -28th, 2008.

Where is the Salt?

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

My holy people, you ask why so much is wrong with the area you live, with the Church and with all the affairs of your life. I tell you, the reason many are fleeing the Church is not because of their great sin, but because they recognize something is very wrong with the Church. Where is the salt?

Haven’t I said that if you follow Me, I will make you fishers of men? Haven’t I said I will heal your diseases? Haven’t I told you of the abundant life that I have for you? Why then is the Church so weak? Why are those following Me not winning the lost? Why are the sick uncured and the blind and deaf still not seeing and hearing? Why are so many still bound? Why are these things? I tell you, it comes down to one simple thing … where is the salt?

My holy people, where is the salt in the land? Where are those sent to purify? Where are those sent to speak My counsel and the counsel of the Lord and the counsel of God? If you know so much, if you do not need these things, then answer why you are not saving the lost and healing the sick? If you know the right things and are doing the right things, then why is your land barren and the Church being shamed by the world? If you know so much, then why are you not setting people free? I tell you: where is the salt?

You may want to pray for nations and look for many grand things to be done. Still, you are unfruitful, even in your smallest things. Do not allow this to continue. Become the salt that I desire and search out the particular salt that is needed to accompany your own gifting. A meal is not good without the proper seasoning; it requires the salt to be applied. Where is the salt?

Why are young people leaving the Church in record numbers? Why is this? Perhaps they know more than you? They recognize something is very wrong. The salt is missing. Where is the salt?

Much of the salt has been cast out of the Church. Too flavorful for some, too convicting for others: the salt has many concerned that it may offend, it may cause people to turn away. I tell you, it is because you have cast the salt out of your midst that the Church has become a refuge for death, rather than abundant life. Where is the salt?

It is time to fall on your knees. It is time to repent of what has been done in My Name. It is time to return to what you know to be powerful, Biblical Christianity. Not just in name, but in power. It is time to embrace the salt, to be the salt, to demand the salt, to intercede and pray for more salt. It is time to turn from your evil ways and follow Mine. Where is the salt?

My Kingdom come … not your own. My Will be done … not in your way. On earth … not of the earth. As it is in heaven … not of your own imaginings. It is time you cry out for the real salt that will give you the savor of life, instead of the savor of death. Cry out for the salt. Look to Me to send the salt. Then, when the salt I have sent to your midst comes, do not reject it, but embrace it. For as you truly cry out for Me to come, to establish the Church as I have envisioned it in heaven … then I will do it. I will hear and I will answer and I will speak My counsel to you and then I expect you to follow Me: to be different, to follow My Heart, to be an accurate expression of Christ in the earth. Then and only then, will you be the salt that has not lost its savor. Where is the salt?

My holy people; seek My Face. Call upon My Name. Be the salt that is so needed in your wicked and sinful generation. Listen for what is upon My Heart. Speak those things that are upon My Heart. Do those things you see Me doing. Then, I will send you to the lost, the sick, the demonized and the oppressed. Then and only then will you be what I have intended. Until then … where is the salt?

I just had to share this list because it is soooooo true! :)

How do I know? Because I live with a chronic illness!

I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 14. It absolutely amazes me to think that I have lived in chronic pain for the past 27 years!

Living in daily chronic pain has definately been a roller-coaster ride - there have been many 'ups and downs' that have helped to shape me into the person that I am today. Thinking back...I sure didn't realize how long this disease would impact my life or to what capacity.

One thing is for sure - I am so thankful to have Jesus in my life. He is my Comforter in times of trouble, my Strength when I am weak, and my JOY everlasting.

I can't imagine my life without Him.

ACTUALLY I CAN IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT HIM...

BUT, I don't ever want to be without Him again.

Jesus makes my life COMPLETE!
