Lord...Rend the Heavens!

Monday, June 30, 2008

Do you hear the alarm sounding?
It's time for God's people to pray.

Our nation faces a serious crossroads. It is our most crucial hour. Please join us as we join forces with Christians throughout the world to ask for divine intervention.

The Intercessory Prayer Initiative was born out of a desire to recruit an army of prayer warriors who are willing to go to the front lines of today's spiritual battle. Christians from various streams and denominational backgrounds are putting aside their differences to unite around the agenda of Jesus Christ.

We are asking the Lord to bring His kingdom on earth, establish His government, empower His church, mobilize His people and scatter His enemies.

Will you join us in the battle?

* Intercessory Prayer Initiative is sponsored by Charisma and SpiritLed Woman magazines.

What does it mean to be fully surrendered to Jesus Christ?

In the series Surrender: The Heart God Controls, Nancy Leigh DeMoss encourages us to lay it all down before the King, making the difficult, yet rewarding choice to become a slave of Jesus Christ, in a never-ending loving relationship with Him.

Sessions include: Pierced Ears, Complete Surrender, The Cost of Surrender, 100-Percenters, Goats and Bulls, Fully Surrendered, Twenty-Five Cents at a Time, The Laboratory of Life and Reasonable Service.

Does God control your heart?

Are you fully surrendered to the Lord, Jesus Christ?

Nancy's teaching ministry Revive Our Hearts communicates a message of personal and corporate revival. Believing God for a reformation in the hearts of Christian women, Revive Our Hearts is helping women live lives of freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness in Christ.

Lord, what would you say to us in these times ?

All is evil
All has lost it’s purity
I am shamed and ridiculed

Can you not rise up ?
Can you not stand with Me ?

Have I forsaken you ?
Why do you forsake me ?

Are your mountains too high and
Your valleys too low
That you cannot find me there ?

I Am not hiding
I sit in your heart and wait
Will I hear you cry out
If you seek Me you will find Me
For I Am

What evil besets you
That I can not handle ?
What sin so great I can not forgive

You are my child
I Am you Father
Cling to me,
For I will receive you
My love is never ending

The Salvation Poem

"The Salvation Poem was conceived, written and developed by entrepreneur and Autumn Records recording artists Matt and Sherry McPherson.

With a passion for evangelism, Matt and Sherry’s inspiration was to find a simple and effective way to lead people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Matt says, “Most of us learn poems when we are small children that we never forget. Mary had a little … Lamb. Twinkle, twinkle little … Star. If someone were to offer you a million dollars to try to forget these, you couldn’t. What if we taught people a poem that could lead them to Christ and in turn help them to lead others to Jesus Christ as well? What if we utilized rhyme and music to make it even easier to remember?”

These thoughts turned into reality and the Salvation Poem was born."

Daughter of the King

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

I am a daughter
I am a daughter of The King,
The Master & Creator of everything,
I am a Princess through God’s Royalty,
Crowned with His jewels is my reality,
I am more precious than the Lily of the field,
Adorned with loveliness & wrapped in God’s shield,

I am a joint heir with Jesus,
Through Whom I am Holy & Righteous,

I am the light of the world,
For in me is Jesus’ light all shiny & pearled,

I am Jesus’ dear & precious friend,
My heart on Him doth depend,

I was chosen by God, holy & dearly loved,
Chosen to do His work through His leading from above,

My body is a temple of God - His dwelling place,
And a member of Christ’s body upon Him I embrace,

I am a new creation, born of The King,
Made of His workmanship to Him I cling,

Of this world I am a stranger,
For my citizenship is in Heaven without danger,

I have fellow citizenship with The Family of God,
Fellowshipping & serving while walking this sod,

I am a saint through His Righteousness,
An expression of the life of Christ Jesus,

Born under God’s protective royalty,
The devil, my enemy, cannot touch me,

I am one in Spirit with God, One in Christ Jesus,
Therefore resembling Christ when He returns for us,

Thank You, Father God, for these privileges are in You,
Thank You, Father, for loving me so very true !

Healing the Father Fracture

Healing the 'Father Fracture'
Pastor Gregory Dickow

Every one of the problems in your life—weaknesses, shortcomings, personality flaws, emotional conflict—all stem from what I call a “father fracture.”

Your relationship with your earthly father impacts every area of your life. Whether he was good or bad, no earthly father is perfect. The way he raised you—or didn’t raise you—results in hurts and fractures that can lead to many problems, leaving you feeling empty and far away from God. Human love is never enough to satisfy our hearts. Human love is never enough to heal the wounds that each of us collect as we grow up in a fallen, sinful world. Our lives are fractured when our earthly father is not able or willing to be everything that we need him to be for us.

The father fracture is where dark forces of insecurity and inferiority are fertilized and find soil to grow. Many of us learn to live with scars and damaged souls. The cry of every human heart is for a father—a father who will give us the confidence and affirmation, security and acceptance we long for.

We see the father fracture in people’s lives when they’re angry, mean, negative, pessimistic, and sarcastic. We see the damage in their hearts when they’re filled with hatred, murder, envy, jealousy, evil thoughts and desires. We see it when they boast and strive to be superior over others because they feel inferior in their souls.

We can see the father fracture in our own lives at times.

Do you feel insignificant, unimportant or inferior? Do you live with feelings of rejection? Are you self-conscious—feeling that people are looking at you but not approving? Do you lack confidence around others? Do you constantly struggle with temptation or addictions? Does lust have a significant stronghold in your life? Are you sometimes willing to compromise what is right just to have someone’s love and approval?

Perhaps your relationship with God is affected by the father fracture. Maybe you read your Bible, pray, go to church, but you still feel empty.

God wants to heal the father fracture in your life today! In that same way that He will heal a fracture in your bones, He wants to heal the fracture in your soul.

Your healing begins as you forgive the human father who failed you. Even if your father is gone—just forgive him and get it out of your life. Bury the past and look to God as your only source.

God wants you to know that He’s your Heavenly Father. He will more than make up for whatever has been broken in your life. He will heal whatever has been destroyed and devastated in your life. He will restore whatever has been missing in your life. He will provide whatever your earthly father didn’t provide for you.

Your earthly father may fail you, but your Heavenly Father will never fail you. If you feel there may be damage in your soul from the way you were raised, I encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and seek Him by faith. You will find the secret to satisfaction and purpose in your life—knowing God as your Father!

Don't You Move

Don't You Move

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
I Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)

There are times in our Christian walk when we feel stagnate or stifled or complacent. We are working for the Lord and sometimes the people we are serving seem unappreciative, unrelenting, or unresponsive. I hear often from others working in ministry how difficult the task when working amongst people who are not responding to God's Word or whose behaviors or lifestyles are unaffected by its power! I know, too well, the overwhelming feeling to quit, to give up and to find "something else" to do. But it's not that easy, is it? When you have a call on your life to do something for the Lord, you are expected and required to fulfill it - despite how you feel or how others respond!

Paul understood that workers in God's vineyard would have such feelings of angst and fret. He encourages with the words "stand firm, let nothing move you." You have to be so committed to fulfilling God's purpose in you that you don't even let YOU interfere with the work that you've been called to do! That's deep, isn't it? You have to understand and be aware of the fact that YOU can get in the way, too! I have countless moments, sometimes every day (LOL), where I want to get out of it all and do something else, be someone else, go somewhere else! But scriptures such as this bring hope and calm to my "jump ship" attitude. Give yourself fully to the work of the Lord - never stop, don't halt, don't give up! Sometimes you may just need to readjust, realign yourself or reevaluate what you're doing - but it's not time to give up! Don't move unless God says to move. And I do believe that sometimes He will move you - but make sure that He is truly the one doing the moving. Know that your labor is not in vain - even when others don't seem to be listening, even if you feel alone or weary. Your labor is not in vain, the seeds that you are planting will take root in someone's life - you may not even be aware of it.

Don't let others deter you, don't get sidetracked and hindered. Don't even let "YOU" get in the way of doing what you have been purposed, called and born to do!
