"When God gets ready to polish His gold, He uses fiery trials.
Unfortunately, nothing brings luster to your character
and commitment to your heart like opposition does.
The finished product is a result of the fiery process.

Whenever you see someone shining with the kind of brilliancy
that enables God to look down and see Himself,
you are looking at someone who has been through the furnace of affliction".

I really needed to read this. I'm trying to encourage others and I myself need some! I have been through so much pain and trials. I was married 17 yrs. and we have 3 kids. He now wants a divorce and This should have did for me. Meaning that I have tried to kill myself when I was a teen. I was a cutter. I am an addict with 2 yrs. clean. I have never been sober as an adult. I was on pain pills the past 15 yrs. of my life. I never thought it possible that he would leave me. He was my prince charming and everyone thought we had the perfect fairy tale marriage. I am so deeply hurting and so missing my babies. My kids are 18, 15, and 12. So, it's a little easier that they are grown up some, but it's hard to face each day without waking up to my children and my dog. I'm this time allowing myself to grieve and without the use of pills. I have had to deal with my past abuse and sexual abuse. My nightmares. It's so hard and I'm so BROKEN, but I know God is there somewhere watching out for me. I love that even though I don't know a lot of you and other Godly Woman with blogs, it helps me so much to read these articles. May God bless you always for helping others. Lisa~
